| KREM now the official station for BPFL’s Caribbean Motors Cup tournament |
At approximately 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday September 7th at the Belize Premier Football League (BPFL) office at the Civic Center in Belize City, BPFL executive members Sergio Chuc, Lionel Welch and Marvin Ottley signed a contract on behalf of the BPFL with Krem Radio & Television, for whom the contract was signed by KREM tv business manager Nelson Hyde. The agreement, which affords Krem exclusive broadcast rights to Caribbean Motors Cup Tournament games, was witnessed by BPFL secretary Ms. Melanie Matute.
The five-year agreement that was formalized with the signing, was already in effect beginning on Sunday, September 5, with the live broadcast on Krem Radio of the BPFL game at the MCC Grounds between F.C. Belize and San Pedro Sea Dogs in Week 1 of the 2010-2011 Caribbean Motors Cup Opening Season tournament. Sunday's Krem broadcast marked the end of a three-year long self-imposed Krem exile from the football broadcast scene. Fans can now look forward to Krem Radio and soon Krem television broadcast of a selected Caribbean Motors Cup game each week during the life of the agreement.
