KREM Radio’s Women at Work talk show is the longest running radio show by women, about social issues in Belize, and airs Monday nights at 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Women at Work, which has been on air for 7 years, is hosted by Virginia Echols, UEF Board member (UBAD Educational Foundation), responsible for programs at the Library of African and Indian Studies. The purpose of Women at Work is to discuss social issues and realistic solutions as they relate to the family unit and community. The objectives are to educate and inform the audience how to live productive, principle-oriented, positive lives. The benefits include the increased awareness of UEF to Belizeans, and tangible ways to bring wellness, happiness and wealth in all lives. Women at Work is the first Belizean Radio and TV talk show to have a live-studio audience.
